of Professional Baseball Southern Division Champions, play at QuikTrip
Park at Grand Prairie, located between Lone Star Park and Verizon
Theatre. The ballpark features the finest in minor league baseball,

The Copeland Home holds significant historic value for Grand
Prairie – both in its architecture and its primary occupant,
Dr. Horace Victor Copeland (1875-1969). The white clapboard home
represents the typical farm home of the turn of the 20th Century.
Dr. Copeland began a medical practice in the back of a pharmacy
in Grand Prairie, beginning five decades of serving its citizens,
and helping to deliver more than 4,000 babies. The home has a
State Landmark as well as a Grand Prairie Landmark. Free tours
are conducted the third Saturday in March and first Saturday
in December from 1-4 p.m. |

The newly restored Uptown Theater is a flexible, multi-use facility
in an Art Deco style building situated in downtown Grand Prairie.
The theater hosts performing and visual arts with a large stage
appropriate for music, dance, drama and film. The theater has
408 seats, which include 8 loveseats, similar to those in the
original 1950 construction. Restoration also included the preservation
of theater traits like the original "cloud" ceiling
lit with neon and the ticket booth. |
